Edge of the Woods 4

An assoc member of the Pastel Society of America I call my work Roadside Landscapes in Pastel. I look for the beauty in ordinary scenes along Michigan roads; The quality of light, subtle colors, patterns of foliage and older buildings nestled in the landscape are subjects in my drawings. I label each drawing with its location which often delights the viewer & is a rewarding way to reach out with my art. I use soft pastels and varied underpainting techniques on different types of pastel papers
