Magic Hour

There is a barn on a hill right up the road from where I live. I love watching it change in every season, time of day & change of weather. I decided to paint a series of this barn, & this is one of my favorites. It indeed looks like that magic hour in early evening. Pastels are one of my favorite mediums because of the ability to create so many rich & subtle layers to hopefully evoke an emotional response to my art. I used a variety of soft pastels on Ampersand pasteboard.
