Timpanogos Take Off

This painting is a wildlife portrait of a Red Tailed Hawk that lives on our Ranch in Utah. Several years ago I set out to document the wildlife on our ranch in their respective habitats and it has been an ongoing joy in my career. It has also opened my eyes and ears to the rapidly changing climate in Northern Utah. I used archival sanded paper mounted on museum board and a variety of hard and soft pastels.
