Coming Home After the Rain

I wanted to capture the evening reflections on an urban street after rainfall. I created a dark underpainting using a combination of nupastels and Terry Ludwig Darks and an alcohol wash. I then added the mid-range values and highlights using intense yellows and oranges to relay contrast of the shadows to the reflections in the street lamps and building lights.
