Flowers are both delicate, strong and resilient. When the cold arrives, flowers slowly seem to melt into their winter slumber, bidding farewell until spring returns. I was inspired by both their softness and strength, and hoped through this creation to represent both emotions real and abstract. This is a soft pastel over acrylic wash on Dakota art boat pastel premier.
