Picnic Island Point

As the Calossa Hatchee river runs into the Gulf there is a series of small mangrove islands that offer a great mooring for a weekend boat picnic. This tree hangs over a very shallow area and is seldom approached. The rest of the island gathers every size vessel and most of the action. This tree overhanging the shallows stuck me as overlooked in the most beautiful way. It appears to stretch away from the noisey company and enjoying the view beyond. At some point, I plan to use this piece as a study for a larger painting.
