Blazing Flowers of South Aftrica

Looking through photos for fields of flowers I came upon one shared by a friend (used with permission) from his trip to South Africa. Experimenting with an alcohol pastel underpainting and loose application of pastels to finish. I wanted to capture the vibrance of the colors without much detail. Always striving to be looser.
