A Cold Night

One of my favorite farm houses captured in early dawn. This painting is painted with soft pastel on black U Art sanded paper. An underpainting of pinks and purples was used to set the values and shadows in the snow while blues were layered on top to create the feeling of those cold winter mornings. This painting is one in a series of farmhouses in winter.
